my creative approach

at the heart of creativity is communication. it is a way of thinking, a way of seeing things and translating that into some unit of output that tells a story.

effective creativity is making meaningful connections with people through the story you want to tell. there are many ways of doing this, which i’ve learned through studies and work where people and communication have been a centre of everything i do.

i studied zoology at the university of glasgow and sound design and filmmaking at glasgow school of art. i have worked for an environmental ngo, political organizations, as a coordinator for long-term art projects with disadvantaged young people, in advertising and marketing and even as a postman.

every role, every interaction is an opportunity to share knowledge and learn from others; an opportunity to gain new perspectives and an appreciation for how creativity brings people together.

my background in science and politics, mixed with my creative career has lead me to taking a pragmatic approach to creativity, using processes and systems to get teams working together to deliver amazing creatives that are well considered and deliver for clients.
